Travertines

Travertines is a type of limestone that is formed by mineral deposits from Natural Spring. This sedimentary stone is created by a rapid percipitation of Calcium Carbonate know as Calcite. Also being a stone with vascular structure, Travertines has many holes on its surface, In some context, such as rustic or antique.

The stone can be smoothed by leaving the holes open in other situations however it is possible to work the surface by filling the holes or finishing them with cement or plasmatic or resin. Another important aspect when speaking of travertine is Veincut vs Crosscut.
